Gilliland/Sarah Hopkins old white monument, it may be that this is one of their daughters-- as referenced as being buried nearby/in same plot in my posted excerpts of that early Hopkins family book. It may be that the Marsh graves here in this row align with this Wade family. It may be that the Marsh graves here in this row align with this Wade family. On pg 64,Vol 8 of her Butler Co cemetery book series, PLCHC, author, Hazel Stroup tells us that she was b. 21 June 1828, d. 12 Nov 1886, and she was wife of N.C. Wade. Then Hazel names nine children of N.C. and M.F. Wade with the last two having no death date (Lizzie Jane and Eddie). Yes Hazel wrote the 21 June so this seems a few days away from the 24 June date...I see that one Nannie listed has dates similar to findagrave #42072071, mentioning a wife, Sellers/Wade so caution; it seems to be a formatting error in the book given the out of sequence date. Thanks to findagraver, lilbuddy who wrote to confirm that:"Mary was the fifth child (of eight) born to Rev. Adam Baird Gilliland (110147845) and Sarah Hopkins (110148128). My records show her being named as Fannie Mary (Gilliland) Wade. Her name honors her grandmother, Frances whom was called "Fannie" (14992485). Fannie's grandfather Rev. James Gilliland (10481020) was highly regarded in his fight against slavery!" I pulled author William Chatfield's highly informative book at the Cinti Hist Soc Lib today, June 2013. Please see his page 42 for further info on Fannie's eight children; he also writes that Eliz. Jean Wade married an attorney, Andrew J Marsh whose children removed to Texas and are involved in a Cadillac Ranch there. I am unclear on this Wade/Marsh tie, but since it seems to tie with this plot and with my Marsh/Hedges/Johnson research (see entries at Venice Cem and at Hedges Cem)- Andrew Marsh? George Marsh? Caution errors may exist until corrected.
