Description	:	The Nebraska Signal July 7, 1938 Mrs. Gus Malmburg Mary Frances Josephine Malmburg died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Songster, in Exeter, Neb., at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 1938, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 21 days. Deceased was born in Cincinnati, O., October 12, 1851. She moved to Monmouth, Ill., with her parents, then to Lewis, Ia. Read More	The Nebraska Signal July 7, 1938 Mrs. Gus Malmburg Mary Frances Josephine Malmburg died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Songster, in Exeter, Neb., at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 1938, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 21 days. Deceased was born in Cincinnati, O., October 12, 1851. She moved to Monmouth, Ill., with her parents, then to Lewis, Ia. Her mother died at Lewis March 31, 1880, and that fall she moved with her father to Page county, Iowa. In the spring of 1881 she was married to George N. Harkness. To this union were born three children, the oldest dying in infancy. January 3, 1888 she was united in marriage to Gus Malmburg at Atlantic, Ia. To this union three children were born. She is survived by her husband, Gus Malmburg, one son, Lester G. Harkness, and four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Songster, Mrs. Sherm Dyer, Mrs. Carl Hetherington, all of Exeter and Mrs. Josie Horton of Lincoln, also two grandsons and five granddaughters. Mrs. Malmburg had been in failing health for a number of years. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and a faithful Christian. Her children were all at her bedside when she passed away. She united with the Methodist church a number of years ago. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Samuel Beechner officiating. Interment was in the Exeter cemetery.
