Description	:	Mary Wurdinger 2-1-1924 Mrs. Anton Wurdinger, aged 63, passed away last Friday, February 1, at 5:30 a.m. at Minneapolis, the body having arrived in Randolph Monday noon. Mrs. Wurdinger had suffered from cancer of the breast for the past year, the disease making rapid progress in the past few months. In December she went to Wynot to the home of her sister, Mrs. John Weinandt, but in the hope for relief she made the journey to Minneapolis and was taking treatments when erysipelas developed and the doctors gave this as the immediate cause of death. Read More	Mary Wurdinger 2-1-1924 Mrs. Anton Wurdinger, aged 63, passed away last Friday, February 1, at 5:30 a.m. at Minneapolis, the body having arrived in Randolph Monday noon. Mrs. Wurdinger had suffered from cancer of the breast for the past year, the disease making rapid progress in the past few months. In December she went to Wynot to the home of her sister, Mrs. John Weinandt, but in the hope for relief she made the journey to Minneapolis and was taking treatments when erysipelas developed and the doctors gave this as the immediate cause of death. Mary Friedenbach was born at Dixon, Ill., October 19, 1859, living there until she was almost 9 years old and then moving with her parents to Nodaway County, Mo., where the family farmed for four years and then moved to Shelby County, Iowa which was the family home for 25 years. She lived three years at Atlantic, Iowa before coming to Randolph in 1901. In April of 1902, she was married to Anton Wurdinger and they lived on his farm 4 ½ miles east of Randolph for about four years and then moved to town where Mr. Wurdinger died in August of 1912. Mrs. Wurdinger was one of the most unselfish of women. Her life was devoted to others and never was a call for her services unheeded. She was uncomplaining and had a disposition that reflected cheerfulness even under the most trying circumstances. She worked hard all her life, was frugal and kindly, and even when she knew her disease would be fatal she maintained a remarkable attitude submission to the will of a higher power. She was devoted to her church and lived a consistent Christian life. She was loved by the children of the neighborhood and esteemed by her friends and neighbors. Deceased leaves two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. John Weinandt of Wynot, Frank of Bloomfield, Joe of Osmond and Mrs. Alice Kessler of Mahnomen, Minn. Two brothers, John and Will preceded her.
