Description	:	LIFE STORY OF MRS. E.H. BRINKER, 69 Mary (Bock) Brinker, daughter of Helena and John Peter Bock was born in Germany, April 1, 1886. She died from a heart attack Tuesday, September 20, 1955 at the home of her mother, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, 19 days. Mrs. Brinker came to Shelby County from Germany at the age of seven and has lived in the vicinity of Westphalia and Defiance. On October 26, 1909 she was married to Edward H. Brinker. Mrs. Brinker came to Shelby County from Germany at the age of seven and has lived in the vicinity of Westphalia and Defiance. On October 26, 1909 she was married to Edward H. Brinker. To this union nine children were born, eight of whom survive. Gertrude the eldest, died December 1, 1941. Mr. Brinker preceded her in death July 23, 1952. Mrs. Brinker is survived by her daughters, Cornelia, Clara, Marie and Mrs. Dolores Blubaugh of Omaha, Nebraska and Mrs. Hilda Schwery of Westphalia; and sons, Edward of Westphalia, Joe of Glidden and Norbert of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by her 91 year old mother, Mrs. Helena Bock; her sister, Mrs. Clara Gubbels; two brothers. Henry and Florenz Bock of Westphalia; also twenty-two grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Francis Order and of the Alter and Rosary Society of St. Boniface Parish Church. Funeral services were held at St. Boniface Church, Westphalia, Friday, September 23, with Rev. H.E. Duren officiating, assisted by Rev. Cornelius Gaul and Rev. P.J. McStay. Pallbearers were Cyril and Ambrose Gubbels, Bernard and Leonard Stracke, Charles Kloewer and Bernard Bock. Four grandsons served as Altar Boys at the Funeral Mass namely Clarence Brinker, John and LeRoy Schwery and Robert Bock. From The Harlan News-Advertiser (Harlan, Iowa) - Tuesday 18 Oct 1955
