Description	:	January 26, 1916 Humeston New Era Mrs. Mary Burk Dead Mary Hamilton, daughter of William and Margaret Hamilton, was born near Locust Grove, Ohio., October 10, 1838; died at the home of her son, W. W. Burk of Montezuma, Ind., January 12, 1916, aged seventy-seven years, three months and two days. She was united in marriage to John W. Burk, November 11, 1863. To this union was born one son, Will W. Burk. She united with the M. E. church at the age of twelve years. After many months of the greatest suffering she came out of it all triumphant in the spirit of "Thy will be done." She leaves to mourn, her husband, and son, three brothers, Joseph Hamilton of Wharton, Texas, John L. Hamilton of Kansas City, Mo., Harlan H. Hamilton of Corydon, Iowa, two sisters, Margaret Sutton of Corydon, Iowa, and Josie L. Fortney of Dodge City, Kansas. The funeral services were held at the home of O. B. Sutton, Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Pruitt. Interment was made at the Corydon cemetery. "Why should our tears in sorrow flow When God recalls His own.
