Description	:	*Mary Helen (Brennan) Kollasch* was born October 8, 1940 at Emmetsburg, Iowa to Lawrence Brennan and Loretta (Murphy) Brennan. Mary Helen graduated from Emmetsburg Catholic High School and St. Joseph Mercy School of X-Ray in Sioux City. She was employed as a registered x-ray technician in Ft. Dodge before her marriage. Read More	*Mary Helen (Brennan) Kollasch* was born October 8, 1940 at Emmetsburg, Iowa to Lawrence Brennan and Loretta (Murphy) Brennan. Mary Helen graduated from Emmetsburg Catholic High School and St. Joseph Mercy School of X-Ray in Sioux City. She was employed as a registered x-ray technician in Ft. Dodge before her marriage. On June 4, 1960, Mary Helen was married to Clem Kollasch in Emmetsburg. At age four she began taking piano lessons and began playing the organ in church at age eight. She enjoyed playing the piano at numerous gatherings. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore where she was a long time organist. Mary Helen owned and operated Rainbow Floral in Whittemore from 1975 - 1982. She then worked at several floral shops, Dave's House of Photgraphy, and continued arranging flowers for friends and family. Mary Helen loved attending athletic and musical events and was extremely supportive of her sons' and grandchildren's activities. Mary Helen died on Thursday evening, January 9, 2014 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center at the age of 73. Survivors include her husband Clem of Whittemore her sons, Gene of Whittemore, Martin and special friend LaDona Traver of Whittemore and his children, Brennan of Las Vegas and Jacob of Sheldon, Iowa, Steve and his wife Deb and their children, Anna, Kate, Anthony and Zachary of Whittemore and Phil of Whittemore and John of Whittemore. Also surviving is brother, Larry Brennan Jr. and his wife Marjorie of Omaha and her sister Michelle and her husband Mark Bonnstetter of Whittemore as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary Helen was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Margaret and father and mother in law, C.R. and Anna Kollasch.
