This time it has taken a young woman yet in tho spring of life and tore her from the little family circle where today a husband and two children mourn the death of a wife and mother. Mrs. James Swinford died this morning at the age of twenty years. She has been suffering with consumption for the past four months and her death while greatly mourned was not unexpected. She was married fo James Swinford about three years ago and has ever since resided in Centerville. Her remains will be interred in the Dale Church Cemetery north of town tomorrow. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. H. H. Abrams of the Christian Church of which she was a member. *Mary was the mother of Bertha Swinford Shay born May 1894 and passed away July 27, 1968 in Tacoma, Washington and Ralph Howard Swinford born 23 Jul 1895 in Centerville and died in January of 1950 in Modesto, California. Her husband James married again and had other children. Living in the area as late as 1920, I was unable to find his exact death and burial place.
