She had been in failing health for several months, ill one week, and a stroke and complications were named as the cause of death. A lifetime resident of Wabash, she was born April 28, 1866, to William Jackson and Melinda (VanDine) Dunfee. A lifetime resident of Wabash, she was born April 28, 1866, to William Jackson and Melinda (VanDine) Dunfee. The decendent was married in Wabash on Aug. 12, 1898 to Samuel Lower who preceded her in death on April 1, 1948. Mrs. Lower was a member of the Central Evangelical United Brethren church and of the W.B.A. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Eloise Sharp, Mrs. Bonnie Ridgeway, both of Wabash; Mrs. Jessie Ring, Marcellus, Mich.; one brother, Mitchell Dunfee, Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Sophrona Holmes, Dora; Mrs. Barbara Tinsley, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The body wll be taken from the Jones Funeral home to the home of the daughter, Mrs. Joseph Ridgeway, Wednesday noon where friends may call. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Central EUB church with the Rev. Warren Landis and the Rev. Flossie Farley officiating. Burial will be in the Falls cemetery.
