Mrs. Davisson is the wife of Story County clerk of court Lake E. Davisson and the aunt of Ames City Manager John Carpenter. Funeral services have been set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. James Dendler officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. Mrs. Davisson is the wife of Story County clerk of court Lake E. Davisson and the aunt of Ames City Manager John Carpenter. Funeral services have been set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. James Dendler officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. Born March 5, 1891 in Eldora, the daughter of Nathan S. and Eva Carpenter, she was married to Morton D. Barber, April 18, 1906. He preceded her in death in 1918. She was married to Lake Davisson, July 13, 1923 at Aurora, Ill. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Peter Grevas, New York City, N.Y.; two sons, Lt. Col. John Barber, Travis Air Force Base, Calif., and Harold Barber of Missoula, Mont.; a brother, John Carpenter of San Francisco, Calif., two grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Davisson was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church, the D.A.R., Order of the Eastern Star, Mothers Club, Sororis Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, was active in the Story County Republican Women's Club and served on the Nevada Library Board. Mrs. Davisson was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
