Description	:	Mary Jane Frederiksen, the daughter of Peter and Anna Larsen Frederiksen, was born May 23, 1922 at her parents' home in Audubon, Iowa and died April 6, 2011 at St. Anthony's Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 13 days. Mary was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. She attended Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1940. Mary was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. She attended Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1940. Mary began work as a legal secretary for Dale Levis in 1947 and served faithfully for over 34 years until 1981. She later worked for Darrell and Violet Andersen as a secretary for their real estate business until she retired. Mary and her sister Elenora shared a home until Elenora moved to the Friendship Home in Audubon in 2005. Mary enjoyed her home later moving to the Friendship Home in July of 2010. Mary was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. She was an early and active member of the Audubon Business and Professional Women Association and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Mary dabbled in several hobbies, but her real love was stock market investments. She was an avid, savvy and successful investor. She also loved to cook her specialties being breads and desserts. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters Leona M. Frederiksen, Lucille Frederiksen, Elenora Frederiksen, Frank and wife Amy Frederiksen, Carl and wife Vernie Frederiksen, and an infant brother John Frederiksen. Survivors include her close family friends. Celebration of Life Memorial Services were conducted by Pastor Doug Opp at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.
