Richman on December, 9, 1841. Read More	Humeston New Era, Humeston, Iowa Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1907 Mrs. M.H. Richman Mary Jane Gwinn was born in Summers county, West Virginia, February 20, 1823. She was married to Marshall H. Richman on December, 9, 1841. Nine years later they moved to Iowa, first to Wapello county, where they resided for a brief period, afterward coming to Wayne county, near Humeston, making it their permanent home. To Mr. and Mrs. Richman were born fourteen children, five of whom are dead. Those living are James H., Samuel M., John M., A. Elmer, Cynthia J., the wife of G.M. Barry, all of whom live in or near Humeston. The others are Thomas A. and Enos, living at Huntley, Neb., Sarah E., wife of W.A. Kyner, Sharon Springs, Kansas, and Mrs. Mary A. Finley, also a resident of the same place, all of whom were present at the funeral. Mrs. Richman, whose death occurred last Thursday, January 31, was preceded by her husband who died April 9, 1899. The funeral service was held by Rev. G.H. Putnam at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G.M. Barry, with whom she was living, last Saturday morning, February 2 at 10 o'clock, and the remains were taken for interment to the Gwinn cemetery northeast of Humeston. Mrs. Richman who had been a resident of this county for nearly fifty-seven years, was well and widely known and highly respected and loved for her excellent qualities. A good friend, a good neighbor and a good mother has gone to her reward. The sincere sympathies of all who knew her are extended to those who mourn her loss.
