She married the love of her life, James Burt, on Aug. 24, 1952, in Jamestown, N.D. Jane was proud to be an active member of the Sweet Adeline’s International barbershop music for over 50 years where she made many lifelong friends. Read More	(Billings Gazette) Jane Burt, 83, of Billings, died peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2016. She was born Mary Jane Muir on March 11, 1933, to Eldon and Marie Muir in Dubuque, Iowa. She married the love of her life, James Burt, on Aug. 24, 1952, in Jamestown, N.D. Jane was proud to be an active member of the Sweet Adeline’s International barbershop music for over 50 years where she made many lifelong friends. She worked as an office manager for several physicians in Billings until her retirement. Then she finally had time to fulfill her dream of “rocking babies” as a valued volunteer at the YWCA nursery. Jane is survived by her daughter, Terri James (George) of Texas; her sons, Dave (Tammy) and Ken (Judy) of Billings, and Brian (Stacy) of California; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Ellen Langley, Ruth Rose and Grace Schultz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and son, Eric. Jane was a member of Peace Lutheran Church for over 50 years and loved to sing in the choir. Her favorite pastimes included reading, cross-stitching, snowmobiling, playing cards with friends, and especially traveling in the motorhome with Jim, camping and visiting new places.
