Mrs. Reichling died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Estelline Care Center. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons: Ron Nordstrom, Gary Nordstrom, Rick Reichling, Steve Reichling, Randy Reichling and Michael Reichling, Jr. Music will be provided by Clarice Uckert, organist and the St. Mary's Catholic Church Choir. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clear Lake with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and will resume Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Mary was born on October 15, 1919 to Carl and Ruth (Scholl) Park at her grandparents' home south of Castlewood, SD. She was raised in the Castlewood and Goodwin area and graduated from Goodwin High School. On August 1, 1938 Mary was united in marriage to Alfred Reichling at the Little Flower Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Following their marriage, they lived in Watertown, SD until 1944. They then moved to a farm near Clear Lake, SD where they farmed and raised their family. Also during this time, Mary worked as a home health nurse for Deuel County. In 1979, they moved into Clear Lake where she worked at the Deuel County Good Samaritan Center until her retirement. On July 13, 2001 Mary entered the Estelline Care Center in Estelline, SD. In the fall of 2005, Alfred joined her at the care center. On June 23, 2007, Mary passed away at the Estelline Care Center at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 8 days. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clear Lake, SD where she was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She thoroughly enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Alfred Reichling, Sr., Estelline, SD; three children: Joy (Gordon) Nordstrom, Garrison, ND, Alfred (Sally) Reichling, Jr., Nunda, SD and Mike (Sandy) Reichling, Clear Lake, SD; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Anglin, Nina Stephens and Maxine Ramynke; half brother, Chet (Marlys) Park, and brother-in-law, Elmer (Doris) Reichling; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by: her parents, daughter Mary Louise and two brothers, Howard Park and Duane Smunk and half sister Alice Engels.
