Read More	Mary Jean Mack passed away on April 10, 2016. She was born January 4, 1956 in Watertown, NY to Charles and Jesse (Steele) Mack. The family moved back to Vilas, SD when Mary was a toddler, later moving to Hot Springs, SD where Mary began her elementary education. In 1967, the Macks moved to Sioux Falls. Mary attended Lowell Elementary School and Axtell Park Jr. High. She graduated from Washington High School in 1974. Following a year at Nettleton College, she babysat children in her home for several years until her parents’ health began to decline. She became their care giver for over 40 years. Mary was a member of Faith Temple and had helped in the nursery. She was an avid reader of mysteries and had read over 2000 books. Mary also enjoyed embroidery and had given many pretty pillow cases as gifts. She had a beautiful flower garden and always had a tomato patch. She loved watching sports on TV, especially the Chicago Cubs. For years she kept a record of all the state high school basketball scores. Mary was a quiet, compassionate person with a great sense of humor. She love to make people laugh. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, and two aunts, Opal Mack and Polly Steele. Left to celebrate Mary’s life are two brothers, Stanley and LeAnn Mack, Mobridge, SD; Norman and Deb Mack, Britton, SD and a sister, Alice Mack, Sioux Falls, SD; nephews, Thomas and Meghan Mack and children, Henry and Margot, Rapid City; Kipp and Christy Larson and children, Alexandria, SD and Kurtis and Tammy Larson and children, Claremont, SD; nieces, Shannon Mack, Pierre, SD; JaNann and Lonnie Jones and children, Claremont, SD and JaKelle and Chad Hardy and children, Tucker Jo, Gunner and Booker of Langford, SD. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be designated to Faith Temple nursery or Food Give A Way. Visitation will begin at 12 pm with the family present from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 South Main Avenue. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Faith Temple Church, 2121 W. 33rd Street, Sioux Falls, SD, with burial at the Oldham Cemetery.
