She was united in marriage to Leonard DeMoss Siefkas on May 28, 1950 at Murray, Iowa and they were the parents of four children, Becky Sue, Tom, Tim and Ted. Mary worked as the director of the Hot Lunch Program for Murray Community Schools for nearly thirty-seven years. She was a member of Murray United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, was an excellent cook, family was everything to her. She was the grandkids "Grandma". Those relatives who preceded Mary in death were her parents; husband, Leonard; father-in-law, Thomas Jessie Siefkas; mother-in-law, Bessie Burnetta Selsor Siefkas; daughter, Becky Sue Siefkas; brothers, Guy Hess, Boyd Hess, Billy Wayne Hess, George Hess, Mack Hess; sisters, Doris Ann Hess, Freda Marie Schaff, Georgia Jones, Lois Warren.
