Mary Jo was born In Omaha, Nebraska on August 21, 1947 to Joseph and Margaret (Roach) Eckley. She grew up in Omaha and attended school at Mercy High School until 1964. She moved to Fremont with her family and graduated from Bergan High School in 1965. After high school she worked at Pathfinder Insurance, Coldwell Banker Company and Inspro Insurance all in Fremont. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont, past member of St. Pat’s Women and a past member of Bergan Board of Education. She is survived by husband, Tom of Fremont; sons, Tommy and wife, Lynn Rump of Louisville, Kentucky and Blane and wife, Lisa Rump of Fremont; brothers, Tom Eckley(fiancé Ann)of Fremont and Tim Eckley of Glenwood, Iowa; sisters, Beth and husband, Paul Dunn of Phoenix, Arizona, Claire and husband, Bob Smutz of Fremont, and Kate and husband, Jim Mickey of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters-in-law, Betty Eckley of Omaha, Julie Veskerna and Ann Eckley; and grandchildren, Conner, Will, Cade, Sky and Angelee. She was preceded in death by parents and brother, Larry Eckley. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Father Mike Eckley will officiate. Memorial visitation Sunday from 1 PM to 3 PM with a Prayer Service at 3 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Private family interment. Memorials may be directed to the family." Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
