Mary Jo was born on January 31, 1948, in Bellevue, Iowa, daughter of John G. and Corrine L. (Victor) Schulte. She married Harold Heiar on September 12, 1970, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. He passed away March 19, 2013. Mary Jo graduated from Marquette High School in the class of 1966. She then established a 47 year career at A.Y McDonald as a Sales Administrative Coordinator. She felt like A.Y. McDonald was her second family. The Company and employees were always so good to her, especially through her long illness. Mary Jo was a classy lady, who had a way of telling it like it was, in a diplomatic way. She was very organized and always there for others. She is finally at peace with her husband, Harold. Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Corrine, of Bellevue; two sisters, Jane (Dennis) Ernst and Bette Herrig, both of Bellevue; brother, Tom (Laura Pape) Schulte, of Bellevue; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, husband; niece, Erika Schwager; nephew, Troy Ernst and brother in-law, David Herrig. The family would like to thank everyone who has sent cards, came to visit or helped Mary Jo in any way. All your thoughts and prayers meant the world to her.
