Description	:	Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday, June 25, 2005 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Mary Jo Watts-O'Dell, age 72 of St. Cloud who died Monday, June 21 at St. Benedict's Senior Community Center. Pastor David Reiter will officiate. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery in Bonaparte, Iowa on August 27, 2005 with Pastor Ross Blount officiating. Mary Jo was born on November 5, 1932 in Bonaparte, Iowa to Leslie and Winnetka (Hansen) Watts. She attended and received her teaching degree from Parson's College in Fairfield, Iowa. She ten moved to Corydon where she taught school. She married Jerry O'Dell on June 27, 1953 in the First Presbyterian Church in Bonaparte, IA. She lived all of her married life in Corydon where they raised their daughter, Jeralee. Mary Jo moved to St. Cloud in 1975 and worked for Banker Sytem's until her retirement. Mary Jo was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and PEO in Corydon, Iowa. She was also a member and past deacon of The First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud, and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous in St. Cloud. Mary Jo loved dancing, watching and listening to sporting events and listening to music. Mary Jo also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mary Jo is survived by her daughter, Jeralee O'Dell-McCarty and her husband John of Corydon, IA; grandchildren, Jeremy McCarty of Corydon, IA and his fiancee Courtney George of Rolla, MO, and Jennifer McCarty and Mitch Cashatt and their daughter Estelle Jolee of Parkersburg, IA; brother, Carl Watts and his wife Jan of Fairfield, IA; and her cousins, Ann Ferren-Lynagh and her husband, John, John Ferren and his wife Linda, and Bob Gardner and his wife Velma Jo. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant sister, Doris. Mary Jo lived a life rich in giving to others, always seeing the positive in people, always finding worth and value in others and always cheering them on with her encouragement. She will be greatly missed.
