Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be the parish scripture service at 5 p.m. She was born on Aug. 13, 1942, in Dubuque, daughter of Paul and Eileen (Winner) Pape. She married Ambrose "Pete" Lammers on Nov. 7, 1964, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Balltown. She graduated from Wahlert High School in Dubuque. She earned her licensed practical nursing degree from Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta, and was a LPN supervisor at the Good Neighbor Nursing Home, Manchester. She loved her children, her staff of nurses and residents at Good Neighbor Home, attending household sales, helping people and caring for "Cat," her pet cat. In addition to exploring the Wisconsin countryside, she traveled to and explored Alaska; Texas, South Carolina, Las Vegas, and Italy in her lifetime. Her favorite saying came from Aesop's fable of the lion and the mouse, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." Surviving are five sons, Senior Master Sergeant Peter Joseph Lammers, USAF, of Aviano Air Force Base, Italy, Russell Raymond Lammers and Dale Edward Lammers, both of Grand Prairie, Texas, Curtis Michael (Paula Jo Wolfe) Lammers, of Dubuque, and Lucas John Lammers (and friend Melanie Crum), of North Liberty; two daughters, Molly Marie (Scott) Schulte, of Earlville, and Amanda Jean Lammers (and friend Tim Kruse), of Dyersville; two brothers, Gary (Diane) Pape, of Cassville, Wis., and Gene (Linda) Pape, of Dyersville; and a sister, Margie Pape, of Cassville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Eileen Pape; and her husband, Ambrose "Pete" Lammers.
