Blizzard (September 12, 1922 - August 7, 2014) Mary Josephine "Josie" Blizzard, 91, of Westernport, MD, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, MD. Born on September 12, 1922 at Westernport, MD, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Bertha (Fazenbaker) Miller. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Blizzard on January 22, 1994; four sons, Gerald, Ervin, Paul and Garland Blizzard; two sisters, Marcella and Laverne Miller; two brothers, Alfred and Forrest Miller and a son-in-law, Randy Northcraft. Mrs. Blizzard was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of her life. She enjoyed playing bingo, picnics, camping and having fun with her family. She always had a smile on her face and had a loving heart of gold. Surviving are one son, Carl E. Blizzard of Franklin, WV; three daughters, Betty L. Hartman and husband Lee of Keyser, WV, Carla J. Shobe and husband Charlie of New Creek, WV and Angela Northcraft and companion Doug Baker of New Creek; one brother, Robert Miller and wife Virginia of Westernport; one sister, Darlene Brashear and husband Roger of Westernport; a daughter-in-law, Rita Robertson and husband Eddie of Lonaconing; a special caregiver and granddaughter, Marty Foote of Lonaconing; 12 grandchildren and numerous, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donna Leatherman officiating.
