Weatherly, was born July 23, 1872. in Hamilton County, Nebr. and died at her home in Fullerton, January 28, 1936. She was the first white child born in Cedar Valley Township and lived there until her marriage to Frank Foster, July 4, 1891. To this union five children were born. Read More	OBIT MRS FRANK FOSTER Mary Katherine, daughter of Edward J. and Maria E. Weatherly, was born July 23, 1872. in Hamilton County, Nebr. and died at her home in Fullerton, January 28, 1936. She was the first white child born in Cedar Valley Township and lived there until her marriage to Frank Foster, July 4, 1891. To this union five children were born. One daughter died in infancy and a son, Forest Jasper, was killed in action in the World war in 1916 as a Canadian soilder. The husband and three children are left to mourn the loss of a loving and faithful wife, mother and home maker. The surviving relatives: The husband Frank Foster, and sons, Cecil L. of Grand Island, Truman D. of Chadronand Corwin V. of Fullerton: 16 Grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lenora Boomer of Elk City, Okla., Mrs. Levina Campbell of Hordville and Mrs. Nellie Fitzmorris of Cheyenne, Wyo.,: one brother Samuel S. Weatherly of Elk City, Okla., a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. Four sisters and the parents preceded Mrs. Foster in death. Mrs. Foster was baptized in the United Bretheran church in 1896 and was a faithful, loyal worker. After moving to Central City she attended the Baptist church. She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps, and Rebekah lodges in Central City and was a devoted and loyal worker. She served in many chairs of the lodge organizations, including that of president and noble grand. Mr. and Mrs. Foster made their home in and around Central City most of their lives and have a host of friends here. Every one who knew Mrs. Foster, loved her. She was a faithful, devoted wife, loving mother and a loyal friend. They moved to Fullerton three years ago and she attended lodge services there, making many friends who spoke very highly of her. She had been in poor health since last spring and bedfast part of the time. Death came very quietly and peacefully Tuesday, January 28, 1936. Home is not home, mother's not there. Dark is her room, empty her chair. Angels have taken her out of our care, Lifted her over life's golden stair Sleep, mother, sleep with your hands on your breast, Poor weary hands, they have needed a rest. Well have we loved you, but God loved you best. Dear heart, he has given you a well deserved rest. A short funeral service was held at the late home in Fullerton Friday for her friends there who wished to pay their last respects. Other services were held from the local Baptist church at 1 o'clock Friday with Rev. G. W. Stansbury officiating. The Rebekah lodge also took part in the committal services. Three favorite hymns, that Mrs. Foster had requested, were sung. Miss Elsie McHargue sang. "Rock of Ages" and the church quartet "In the Garden" and "Some Day the Silver Cord will Break". Nephews of the deceased acted as pallbearers and included: Omar and Howard Travis, Fred Weatherly, Arza Millsap, Lyman Pierce and Bert Nicholson. Interment was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hamilton County.
