Description	:	Mary Kathleen Dennis Bailey, 83, widow of Donald Crawford Bailey, Sr., passed away peacefully on February 22, 2021. Born January 21, 1938, in the small community of Bloomville, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ella West Dennis and the late Lamuel Curtis Dennis. She was one of seven children. Read More	Mary Kathleen Dennis Bailey, 83, widow of Donald Crawford Bailey, Sr., passed away peacefully on February 22, 2021. Born January 21, 1938, in the small community of Bloomville, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ella West Dennis and the late Lamuel Curtis Dennis. She was one of seven children. While on a visit to family friends in Lancaster, she met the love of her life and late husband, Donald Crawford Bailey Sr. They married in a small ceremony on March 11, 1961. They shared a spectacular life together and were married for 53 years. They enjoyed traveling the country together on bus tours with their group of friends. From Branson, MO to New York, NY, they saw the greatest sights our country has to offer. She retired from a long career at Campbell’s Soup in Sumter and McLeod’s Grocery in Paxville. Kathleen was a hard worker and always loved making friends with anyone who crossed her path. She loved to joke and make others laugh along with her. Her favorite phrase was “No fool, no fun!”. An infectious smile always lit up her face. Elvis Presley was her absolute favorite singer, and she could frequently be found singing along to his music. She enjoyed going to Elvis impersonator concerts with friends and family. Anyone you ask would tell you she couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket, but that didn’t stop her from singing to her family. Her grandchildren will surely miss being sung “You Are My Sunshine” on a regular basis, as it was her favorite song to sing to them. Not one to watch much TV, she loved coloring, word searches, and watching The Grand Ole Opry and Polka Dancing. Any trip or visit to her house included coffee and a the board game, Aggravation. The love that she had for her family and friends was indescribable, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Molly Bryant, Ethleen Ridgeway, Gladys Ridgeway and Vermell Richburg.
