Mrs. Peavy was born November 04, 1933, in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late Homer and Lena Jordan Wilson. Peavy, 84, wife of Aaron Benjamin Peavy, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Conway Medical Center. Mrs. Peavy was born November 04, 1933, in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late Homer and Lena Jordan Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Lilly; two grandchildren, Candy Cruz and Lauren Kirby; her siblings, Virginia Harrelson, Margaret Chestnut, Toni Huggins, Bonnie Sue Altman, and John Wilson. She is also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Lloyd Harrelson, Frances Peavy, and Dan Peavy; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Wilson and Joanne Peavy. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Peavy was employed as a Supervisor at Aynor Manufacturing for many years. She was a lifelong member of Galivants Ferry Baptist Church and has most recently been attending Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church due to travel limitations. Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughters, Debra Goebel (Johnny), Melinda Kirby (John); her son-in-law, Lonnie Lilly; her grandchildren, April Lambert, Chris Goebel (Megan), Ashley Myers (James), Samantha Kirby, Ashton Kirby; her grandson-in-law, Junior Cruz; her great-grandchildren, Benjamin Cruz, Catherine Cruz, Jonathan Lambert, Ashlea Altman, Phoebe Goebel, Chloe Goebel; her brother Clyde Wilson (Wannie); her brothers-in-law, David Peavy (Naomi), Joe Peavy (Betty); her sister-in-law, Cathyrn Martin; her close friend, Etta Miller; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Peavy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a devoted and faithful servant of the Lord and poured His love into the lives of all who knew her. She shared her love of cooking with her family and all who were blessed to know her. Memories of time spent around her table will forever be cherished. She taught her family to love one another and to always be thankful. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Galivants Ferry Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to a Christian Missionary Organization of choice.
