Fellows of Keosauqua, Iowa. To this union were born three children, one dying in infancy, and Carrie Phyllis who died in May, 1906, also a son, Ira V. Fellows of Sioux Falls, S. Dakota. Fellows of Keosauqua, Iowa. To this union were born three children, one dying in infancy, and Carrie Phyllis who died in May, 1906, also a son, Ira V. Fellows of Sioux Falls, S. Dakota. Besides her husband, George A. Fellows, and the son, Ira V. Fellows, there remain to mourn her passing two grandchildren, Dale and Fay, children of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Fellows, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also one brother, Wyatt Vance of Colorado, and two sisters, Margaret Rankin, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Emma Patten of Fairfield, Iowa. She was a member of the O.E.S. of Milton and other places since 1907. Mrs. Fellows was a leader of song with the late Curtis R. McCrary in the county of 40 years. Also a singer of solos on many occasions. In early life she confessed Christ, and joined the Christian church under the ministry of Elder C.V. Axline at Keosauqua in 1879. She remained in active Christian service until the time of her death. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Milton Christian church by the pastor, the Rev. A.M. Hadley. Mrs. J.E. Marshall and Mrs. M.E. Adkins sang with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Beryl Gilchrist. Pallbearers were O.A. Parish, O.H. Leaverton, Arthur Henthorn, J.R. Jolley, Bent Humbert and N.C. Garrett. Interment was in Purdom cemetery at Keosauqua. [Note: Husbands obituary states she died 1944] Source: Van Buren Co.
