Mrs. Rundgren was born on June 17, 1915 in Eggleston, VA to the late Rose Hankla Walker & Wilmont Webster Walker. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Alexander Rundgren and three sisters, Margaret W. Gawthrop, Alleen W. Hale and Christine W. Hale. Read More	RUNDGREN, Mary Lewis Walker, 87, of Pearisburg, VA, died Friday morning October 11, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Rundgren was born on June 17, 1915 in Eggleston, VA to the late Rose Hankla Walker & Wilmont Webster Walker. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Alexander Rundgren and three sisters, Margaret W. Gawthrop, Alleen W. Hale and Christine W. Hale. Mrs. Rundgren taught school in the Giles County System. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed her garden and flowers and crafts. She was also a member of the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church. Mary and her family wish to thank Dr. Paul Olson and the many caregivers at Giles Memorial Hospital and the Hospice Services for their loving care. Mrs. Rundgren is survived by son, David & daughter-in-law, Millicent Rundgren of Eggleston; two daughters, Martha Ann & son-in-law, Patrick Foley of Rapid City, SD, Margaret G. & son-in-law, James Sanders of Rochester, WA; one sister, Martha W. Buck of Westbrook, CT; seven grandchildren, Shane & wife, Amanda of Beaver Dam, WI, Brian Rundgren of Huntington, WV, Brett & wife, Lindy Foley of Lincoln, NE, Tammie Foley of Rapid City, SD, Angela Sanders of Washington, John Sanders of Seattle, WA, Deborah & husband, Jason Kilmer of Rochester, WA; one great-grandson, Quinn of Beaver Dam, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 14, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church in Pearisburg with the Rev. Morton White officiating with entombment following in the Birchlawn Abby. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church, the Giles Ambulance Service or the Hospice Services of New River Valley.
