Mrs. See was born July 26, 1908, in Hardy County, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Felix and Minnie Dispanet Jenkins. She was a housecleaner at Lost River State Park for a number of years and was a member of Jenkins Chapel United Methodist Church in Mathias. On May 26, 1927, she married Garnett Brown Shipe, who died April 15, 1958. Her second husband, Robert See, died June 17, 1975. Surviving are a son, Gola B. Shipe, Mathias; two daughters, Zelda M. Cullers and Wilda Whetzel, both of Mathias; two sisters, Pammie Dove, Mathias, and Winona Miller, Harrisonburg; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The Rev. Jonathan Hedrick will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jenkins Chapel United Methodist Church in Mathias. Burial will be at Jenkins Cemetery Daily News-Record (Harrisonburg, VA) - January 30, 2001
