She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joel Arlie Russell, of the home; two sons, Junior Lowder and Steve Lowder, both of Albemarle; and two brothers, Hobart Efird Bowers and Dwight Heath Bowers, both of CA; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 27726 Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle, NC. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Russell family.
