Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial at the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8PM at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Mary Lois Ellison was born on June 2, 1909 in Eagle City, the daughter of William and LuLu Macy Ellison. She was married to Clarence Nachazel on April 20, 1935 at the family farm in rural Alden. She was a lifetime member of the Lee Center United Methodist Church, Lee Center United Methodist women, Prairie View Club, and Tuesday Pals. She and Clarence lived on the farm until their retirement and move to Iowa Falls. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, dancing, camping in the motor home, and flying with Clarence in his airplane. She is survived by her son, Lynn and his wife, Cheryl of Alden; 5 grandchildren, Kate Southward of Washington D.C., Jacki Foley and husband, Bill of Alden, Jeff Nachazel and wife, Sarah of Alden, Kerre Nachazel of Ft. Myer, FL., and Kourt Nachazel of Iowa City; one great-grandchild, Ellyson Nachazel, daughter of Jeff and Sarah; two step-great grandchildren, Amber and Amanda Foley, daughters of Bill and Jacki; a sister, Dorothy Madden and husband, Carroll of Iowa Falls; and a sister in law, Kathryn Nelson of Pearl City, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; a sister, Mildred Danger; and a brother, Gene Nelson.
