Description	:	MARY LONG was born in Clearfied County, PA, June 12, 1862.She moved with her parents to Jackson Twp, Linn Co, IA in the spring of 1869 where she lived and grew to womanhood. At the age of fourteen years, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour and united with the Congregational Church of Central City. She was united in marriage to Miner Evans Jan 13. 1881. To this union five children were born---four sons, Francis, who preceded her to the better land: William, Grover and Harrison, and one daughter, Gladys. At the age of fourteen years, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour and united with the Congregational Church of Central City. She was united in marriage to Miner Evans Jan 13. 1881. She died at her home in Central City February 28, 1913 at the age of 50 years, nine months and sixteen days, leaving her to mourn her loss a husband, three sons, one daughter, a father, one sister and two brothers, besides many other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, the sermon being preached by Rev. B. F. Irving, pastor of the Baptist Church and the remains were laid to rest in the Blodgett Cemetery.
