She passed away on January 13, 1953, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jonas Johnson, in Spencer, NE, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 4 days. She was the mother of eleven children. Leverton was born in Alleghany County, Pennsylvania, June 9, 1862. She passed away on January 13, 1953, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jonas Johnson, in Spencer, NE, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 4 days. She was the mother of eleven children. Three sons preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters and four sons. They are Carrie Emma Johnson of Seattle, WA, Etta Johnson of Spencer, NE, Hazel Hampton of Lafayette, OR, Sadie Lee of Ogallala, NE., Robert Shuler of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, L. L. Shuler, Clarence Shuler of Hermiston, OR, and Harry V. Shuler of Ontario, OR. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Amelia Smith of Clinton, IA, a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and a host of friends. Grandma Leverton, as she was familiarly called, had a very brilliant mind which she retained to the last. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Funeral services were held in the United Lutheran Church of Spencer, on Friday, January 16, at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Wilfred H. Henning officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. J. M. Pucelik, pianist, and Mrs. Clara Olin, Mrs. Helen Krupicka, Major Olin, and W. H. Henning, singers. The songs sung were: The Old Rugged Cross, Safe in the Arms of Jesus, and Rock of Ages. Pallbearers were Dr. J. M. Pucelik, Louis Cranford, Wayne Blaire, Russell Angus, Charles Pacena, and I. W. Barr. Interment was in the Union cemetery, Spencer, NE.
