Description	:	Funeral service for Mary Lou Kamm, 79, of Aberdeen will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen, SD. Pastor Tom Haggar of First United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the service at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and twelve noon untill the time of the service Saturday all at the mortuary. Friends may sign the online guest book at the bottom of the page. Mary Lou passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at her home. Mary Lou Crompton was born March 21, 1930 to Lloyd (LT) and Fern (Hamilton) Crompton at Wetonka, SD where she was raised, attended country schools in Lincoln and Washington Township and she also attended Leola High School. Mary Lou married Marvin Kamm June 14, 1949 at Aberdeen. They farmed in the Leola area until 1968. In 1971, they moved to Elm Lake and purchased the Elm Lake Resort which they owned and operated for several years. They later moved to Houghton where they lived for a short time and then moved to Mina where they resided for many years. Marvin passed away in 1992 and Mary Lou moved to Aberdeen in 2002. Mary Lou's family wishes to give a special thank you to North Plains Hospice and her niece, Judy Bright, for the special care given to Mary Lou. Surviving Mary Lou are one daughter, Sandy Schutte of Mesa, AZ, three sons, Tony (Kay) Kamm of Aberdeen, Terry (Mary) Kamm of Hazen, ND and Casey (Jackie) Kamm of Aberdeen, two sisters, Dorothy Hoffman of Leola and Kelly Waltman of Oregon, two brothers, Leo (Molly) Crompton of Florida and Tom (Sue) Crompton of California, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren and son-in-law Don Schutte of AZ. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Grace Waltman, one sister, Lucille Goodfellow and two brothers, Lloyd Crompton and Jack Crompton.
