Mary Lou was born November 22, 1932 to Harold Gordon and Maxine Marie (Meyers) Galloway. She was raised and educated in Liscomb, graduating from Liscomb High School in 1950. Following graduation, Mary attended cosmetology school in Waterloo. In 1950, Mary Lou married Floyd Rubendall. Read More	Mary Lou Biersborn, 83, of Union, IA passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Oakview Nursing Home, in Conrad, Iowa. Mary Lou was born November 22, 1932 to Harold Gordon and Maxine Marie (Meyers) Galloway. She was raised and educated in Liscomb, graduating from Liscomb High School in 1950. Following graduation, Mary attended cosmetology school in Waterloo. In 1950, Mary Lou married Floyd Rubendall. During her marriage to Mr. Rubendall, who was in the U.S. Navy, she lived in Okinawa, San Diego, and Chicago. They later divorced. On November 22, 1962, her thirtieth birthday, Mary Lou married Keith H. Biersborn, in Las Vegas, NV. Mary Lou and Keith returned to Marshalltown, where Mary Lou worked in the advertising department at Lennox Industry for thirteen years. She also assisted Keith, when they moved to Union and took over Biersborn Funeral Home. While helping Keith in the funeral business, Mary Lou also worked at Union Tax Service. Mary Lou was a member of the Liscomb Christian Church, South Hardin Center, and the Red Hat Organization. Mary Lou is survived by a sister in law, Kathy (Randy) Priddy, Kathy's children, Keri (Mike) Peevey and Jami Jarrett, two great nieces, Kate, Cassidy, and a great nephew, Michael, all of North Carolina, several cousins; Doris Rutherford, Phillip (Darlene) Galloway, Julia (Earl) Bachel, Rex (Mae) Galloway, Vieve (Sonny) Mohr, Dean (Joan) Galloway, Rosemary (Lynn) Hauser, Ronald (Nanci) Galloway, Richard (Robin) Galloway, and Elizabeth (Robert) Richardson She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith and her parents. Funeral services for Mary Lou Biersborn, former owner of Biersborn Funeral Home, were held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Liscomb Church of Christ in Liscomb, IA. Reverend Ralph Norman was officiant for the service. Rosemary Hauser served as organist, and Kristi Rittgers served as soloist. Casket Bearers were: Lynn Geiken, Pat Craig, Lynn Hauser, Ron Galloway and Rick Galloway. Groups in attendance were: Oakview Nursing Home Staff and former funeral home owners Jerry and Marjorie Johnston. Interment took place in the Union Cemetery in Union, Iowa.
