Description	:	Mary Lou Rossiter May 26, 1929 - August 23, 2010 Mary Lou Rossiter, the daughter of William and Ina (Darling) Mehan, was born on May 26, 1929, in Palo Alto County, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from Ayrshire High School. After high school, for a short time, she lived and worked in Fort Dodge, IA. Read More	Mary Lou Rossiter May 26, 1929 - August 23, 2010 Mary Lou Rossiter, the daughter of William and Ina (Darling) Mehan, was born on May 26, 1929, in Palo Alto County, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from Ayrshire High School. After high school, for a short time, she lived and worked in Fort Dodge, IA. Mary Lou then moved to Spencer and started working as a bookkeeper for Northlawn Cemetery. On February 14, 1956, Mary Lou married Lon Rossiter in Spencer, IA. Following their marriage, Mary Lou worked for a short time before she started her family. In 1961, the couple moved to a farm southwest of Spencer. Mary Lou was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, helping on the farm, birdwatching and her friendships with her neighbors. Mary Lou loved to get together and spend time with her family on the weekends. Mary Lou passed away on August 23, 2010, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ina; her two sons: Larry and Loren; her stepfather, Leonard Hoben; two sisters: Betty Krebs and Ina Siebel. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lon of Spencer; two sons: Leo and his wife, Colette of Spencer, IA and Lyle and his wife, Colleen of Newell, IA; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Alice Black of Spencer, IA and Kitty Smith and her husband, Stan of Ruthven, IA; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00A.M., Friday, August 27, 2010, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer Father William Schreiber officiating. Interment will follow at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer, Iowa.
