Description	:	Mary Lou Gauthier, 91, of Harrisville, died on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Clarkston, Mich. She was born March 14, 1924 to Joseph and Lorraine (McDonald) Miller in Harrisville, where she was raised. On September 23, 1944 she married Leonard Gauthier in Detroit, Mich. They resided in Detroit, Mich. until moving to St. Clair Shores, Mich. in 1948. They moved to Utica, Mich. in 1968 and to Harrisville in 1989. Read More	Mary Lou Gauthier, 91, of Harrisville, died on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Clarkston, Mich. She was born March 14, 1924 to Joseph and Lorraine (McDonald) Miller in Harrisville, where she was raised. On September 23, 1944 she married Leonard Gauthier in Detroit, Mich. They resided in Detroit, Mich. until moving to St. Clair Shores, Mich. in 1948. They moved to Utica, Mich. in 1968 and to Harrisville in 1989. She was the oldest charter member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church and its ladies group. She was very involved in Girl Scouts for many years, and, more recently, with My Brother’s Hope in Harrisville. She enjoyed playing bridge and euchre. Mrs. Gauthier is survived by four daughters, Carol (Larry) Eberhardt of Clarkston, Mich., Martha (Gary) Kliebert of Washington, Mich., Catherine Qualls of Walled Lake, Mich. and Sandy (Ed) Utsler of Pontiac, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Edna Hayes of Alpena. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, on November 11, 2012; one sister, Joyce O’Mell; and two brothers, Dick Miller and Joe Miller. The funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Harrisville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mary Soderholm will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to My Brother’s Hope, or to the Alcona Food Pantry, care of Harrisville United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
