Description	:	Mary Lou Ard, 89, of Johnsonville, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Goose Creek, SC surrounded by her loved ones. Mary Lou was born the daughter of the late Charles “Big Man” Osborne and Lottie Osborne in Florence County. She had a love for making things specially quilts whom she made one for each of her grandchildren. She worked as a seamstress for Midway Cleaners in Johnsonville for many years. Read More	Mary Lou Ard, 89, of Johnsonville, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Goose Creek, SC surrounded by her loved ones. Mary Lou was born the daughter of the late Charles “Big Man” Osborne and Lottie Osborne in Florence County. She had a love for making things specially quilts whom she made one for each of her grandchildren. She worked as a seamstress for Midway Cleaners in Johnsonville for many years. Her greatest love and enjoyment was her family often having Sunday dinners and family gatherings. She will be dearly missed by many. She leaves behind four daughters, Janice Grahn (Mark) of Goose Creek, Mary “Nell” Moyer (Jim), Connie S. Parrott, and Sarah “Robin” Springs, all of Johnsonville; two sons, Charles “Buck” Ard (Toria) and Charles Hutchinson both of Johnsonville; a sister, Noonie McKnight of Scranton; 24 grandchildren; and 45 great and great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of seventeen years, Edward Ard; two daughters, Betty “Kathy” Coe and Carolyn V. Ard; a grandson, Charles “Chuck” Sanderson; a great-grandson, Michael Perry; three brothers, Charles Wilson “CW” Osborne, Reamer Osborne, and Steve Osborne; a sister, Ellen McElveen; and her very best friend, Helon Hanna. A Graveside Service will be 12PM, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Lake Chapel Cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. The Ard family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 10AM – 11:30AM at the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home, 210 East George Street, Hemingway, SC. McKenzie Funeral Home of Hemingway is honored to serve the Ard family.
