Breugh of Yakima officiated. Interment at the Fraternal Cemetery. Mrs. Brown passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. McFarlin, Wednesday evening, June 17, at the age of 79 years. She was born in Green Co, Missouri, July 4, 1856. She would have been 80 years old if she had lived until the Fourth. She had been a resident of Chelan for the past two years. In 1881 she was wed to (James) Marion Batson. To this union were born Bert Batson, now dead; Mrs. Mamie Smith of Colorado, and Mrs. Rosa McFarlin of Idaho. After the death of Mr. Batson, Mrs. Brown married Wm. D Brown (1852-1918). Three children were born: Mrs. Avaline McFarlin of Chelan; Joel Brown of Electric City, and Pearl Hanson of Chelan. Besides her surviving five children, there are 37 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
