Description	:	Mary Lucile Stahl was born to Frederick Joseph and May Belle (Marsh) Stahl on July 8, 1910, at Grafton. She passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva on March 7, 1995, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 29 days. She was the oldest of four children in the family. Lucile, as she was called by family and friends, attended rural school to the eighth grade and then attended Grafton High School where she graduated in 1927. Read More	Mary Lucile Stahl was born to Frederick Joseph and May Belle (Marsh) Stahl on July 8, 1910, at Grafton. She passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva on March 7, 1995, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 29 days. She was the oldest of four children in the family. Lucile, as she was called by family and friends, attended rural school to the eighth grade and then attended Grafton High School where she graduated in 1927. The following year she attended college at the Lincoln School of Commerce. She worked for an insurance company for a number of years. She returned home to be with her parents while her brother was in the military service and moved with them to Geneva when they retired. She was a bookkeeper at the Geneva Sale Barn for 35 years and worked in the same capacity for the Shaner Chevrolet Company for 29 years. Since her retirement from Shaner Chevrolet, she enjoyed being at home, where she did a great deal of handicraft work. She took pleasure in making many afghans and rugs that she liked to give to family and friends. Lucile was a former member of the St. Helen's Catholic Church in Grafton and joined the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva when she moved to town. She was a member of the Altar Society, although not taking an active part. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and May; her youngest sister, Rachel Churchill of Ft. Collins, Colo.; and by a brother, Chris of Kimball. She is survived by her sister, Hazel Gell of Geneva; 10 nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, March 10, from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva, with Father Maurice Current officiating. Music was provided by the St. Joseph Women's Choir. Casket bearers were John O'Brien, Homer Brauning, Norman Girmus, Richard Trapp, Richard Hoarty, and Richard Kleinschmidt. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery south of Grafton. The Nebraska Signal March 1995
