Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Bethel Cemetery, Rochester, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the American Alzheimer's Association. Mary was born on February 27, 1923, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas and Viva Fowler Burke. In March of 1941, Mary was united in marriage to Virgil Duane LaRue in Kahoka, Missouri. She had worked at the Muscatine Button Factory and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Davenport. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting rocks, camping, dancing, cooking, and spending time with her cats and especially time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her children, Tressa Gunzenhauser and husband, Roy, of Davenport, Daniel LaRue and wife, Donna, of Lavaca, Arkansas, Loretta Cobleigh and husband, Edwin, of Galt, California; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Duane LaRue; a grandson, Keith Cobleigh; one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Madorin; and two brothers.
