Description	:	ALBION - Mary Lucille Qualset, 92, of Albion died Monday, June 18, 2012, at Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at U.C.C. Congregational Church in Albion, with the Revs. Ray and Mary Avidano officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion. Mrs. Qualset was born Aug. 8, 1919, at Broken Bow to Enid Minerva (Nona) Moore and Sherman Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Qualset. Survivors of the immediate family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Jane Qualset of Central City, Charles and Kathy Qualset of Tilden; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Dan Baron of The Villages, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Dorothy Attwood of Albion. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was the youngest daughter youngest daughter born to her parents. She attended District 13 through the 8th grade and graduated from Albion High School in 1937. On Dec. 6, 1941, Mary was united in marriage to Omer Qualset. Three children were born to this union Thomas Lee, Janet Lou and Charles Omer. In 1954, Mary returned to school to pursue her teaching career. She taught in the Meadow Grove and Tilden area where they lived. In 1980, they moved to Albion. Mary was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron of the Tilden Chapter. She received her 50 year pin in April of 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Alfred Atwood, two sisters, Frances Coffman, Helen Wallick and one granddaughter, Angie Bennett.
