She was born April 29, 1930 in Ottumwa to Frank and Minnie Moore Gallagher. She married Norman R. Caster November 11, 1949 at the First Christian Church in Ottumwa. Caster, 81, formerly of 333 W. Rochester, died at 9:35 pm February 18, 2012 at Vista Woods Care Center. She was born April 29, 1930 in Ottumwa to Frank and Minnie Moore Gallagher. She married Norman R. Caster November 11, 1949 at the First Christian Church in Ottumwa. A 1947 graduate of Ottumwa High School, she had attended Golden West College while living in Huntington Beach, CA. Mary retired from the Department of Defense at Wright Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, OH, in 1995 where she served as secretary to the base Chaplain. Mary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Norman Caster; 2 daughters Janet Kasner of Cincinnati, OH, and Jennifer Caster of Joplin, MO; 4 grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Gallagher of Hedgesville, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her body has been cremated. No srvices are planned. Memorials may be made to the Activity Fund at Vista Woods Care Center. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
