Description	:	Mary "Ma-Ma" Siegle, age 94, of Oxford, Ohio, formerly of Ross, passed away Thursday evening, January 10, 2013 at Liberty Nursing Center in Oxford. She was born September 18, 1918 and raised in Bluefield, West Virginia, the daughter of Fred and Hattie Mae (Hatfield) Tibbs. While working in Middletown in 1954, she met and married Joseph Siegle of Hamilton, who preceded her in death in 1999. Mary leaves behind her 3 children, Stephen Siegle, Robin Ross and Judy Murray; 5 grandchildren, Joseph William Siegle, Sarah Siegle, Betty Jo Malchesky, Kelly Spivey and Sandra Bussel; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was born September 18, 1918 and raised in Bluefield, West Virginia, the daughter of Fred and Hattie Mae (Hatfield) Tibbs. While working in Middletown in 1954, she met and married Joseph Siegle of Hamilton, who preceded her in death in 1999. Mary leaves behind her 3 children, Stephen Siegle, Robin Ross and Judy Murray; 5 grandchildren, Joseph William Siegle, Sarah Siegle, Betty Jo Malchesky, Kelly Spivey and Sandra Bussel; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mary had a strong work ethic and was an emotionally independent woman before it was fashionable. What most people will remember is her sense of humor. Anyone who knew her has a funny story to tell. Family life and home were most important to her and everyone who knew her—family, friends, and even strangers she took under her wing---enjoyed her "down-home" hospitality. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed setting a beautiful table. She made holidays even more special with her decorations and traditions. She was both a Cub Scout and a Girl Scout leader. She loved taking vacations and went "back home" to West Virginia as often as she could, by train or by car when she began driving. Often husband Joe couldn't take off work to do so, but that wouldn't stop her when she got the urge to go. Family vacations were also memorable throughout the years. Mary and Joe enjoyed membership at Christ Prince of Peace Church where Mary sang in the choir and contributed some of her good recipes to their church cookbook. Thanks to those from church who continued caring and praying for her. Mary spent the last few years of her life at Liberty Nursing Center in Oxford after an accident on her 4 wheel mobility cart, which should give you an idea of that wonderful independence of hers. The accident left her with a severely broken femur which put her in a wheelchair. Even with family and elder care, she needed more than we were able to give, and we'd like to thank all those at Liberty Nursing Center for the excellent care and friendship she was given while residing there. Funeral service at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, OH. Burial in Venice Cemetery in Ross.
