Mrs. Adams was born May 15, 1943, in Wilkes County to George and Rosan Hayes Smith, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Smith, Jr., Harvey Smith, Franklin Smith, Gene Smith, Bill Smith; and sister, Blanche McCann. Mrs. Adams was born May 15, 1943, in Wilkes County to George and Rosan Hayes Smith, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Smith, Jr., Harvey Smith, Franklin Smith, Gene Smith, Bill Smith; and sister, Blanche McCann. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James M. Adams of the home; daughter, Jamie Brown and husband Kenneth of Clemmons; brother, Dave Smith and wife Wilma of Elkin; sisters-in-law, Lena Smith, Annie Mae Smith and Johnsie Smith; granddaughter, Katherine Brown; numerous nieces and nephews and canine companion, Mia. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Shoaly Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
