Description	:	Two elderly sisters, MRS. IDA MAE KENDALL, aged 85, and MRS MARGARET ALICE ROBINSON, aged 92, died yesterday within 16 hours of each other. Mrs. Kendall, widow of Abraham Kendall, passed away at 4 am Sunday at the home of her son, Corsie Kendall, Highfield. She had been in failing health for 3 years. Born in Smithsburg, they were the daughters of Solomon and Sarah (Smith) Toms. Mrs. Robinson had spent her entire life in Smithsburg, and was a member of the United Brethren Church of Pleasant Valley. Mrs. Kendall had spent her early life around Smithsburg and Chewsville, 30 years ago moved to Highfield. She was a member of the Chewsville E.U.B. Church, and was also active at St Stephens Reformed Church in Highfield. Surviving Mrs. Robinson are sons, John and Wilbur, both of Hagerstown; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Surviving Mrs. Kendall are: children, Mrs. Ralph Benchoff, Chambersburg; Lester, Smithsburg Rt 2; Vernon, Lantz, Md; Mrs. Lutie McGlaughlin, Hagerstown; Corsie, Highfield; Mrs. L L McGlaughlin, Highfield; and Hubert, Waynesboro; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Robinson Wednesday at 4 pm at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Edwin Schroyer, with whom she made her home. The Rev Orrin T Carroll officiating; interment in Smithsburg Cemetery. Services for Mrs. Kendall Tuesday at 2 pm at Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, the Rev H C Corl officiating.
