Mary Margaret Hambek was born in Ainsworth, March 10, 1892. The following fall the family moved to Boyd county where she lived until her death. She was married to Melvin Jacoby by Rev. Fr. Griffin on April 28, 1925. She leaves to mourn her untimely death a devoted husband, two children, Melvin Francis and Richard Winton, her father, five brothers, Anton and James of Winner, Joseph, Emil and Frank of Spencer, four sisters, Mrs. E.M. Pitchford of Winner, Lillian and Frances of Spencer, Sophia of Omaha, besides other relatives and a multitude of friends. She was widely known as she had worked for the community for many years, and worked in the Kloke, Tinsley and Baumann stores before her marriage. She was loved as an honest, faithful and willing friend, faithful member of her church, and a devoted mother, wife, and sister. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery, following the services conducted by Rev. Fr. Gebauer. She was 42 years, 3 months, and 3 days old.
