Description	:	Mary Margaret Lowe, 85, Country Lane Apartments, Keosauqua, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. She was born Dec 16, 1916 at rural Farmington Township, Van Buren County, the daughter of Leslie and Addie Mae Lindsay. She married Percy Lowe, July 1, 1937, at Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death March 3, 1998. She was born Dec 16, 1916 at rural Farmington Township, Van Buren County, the daughter of Leslie and Addie Mae Lindsay. She married Percy Lowe, July 1, 1937, at Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death March 3, 1998. She was a lifelong resident of Van Buren County except for a period of eight years spent in Newton and about one year in Kearny, Nebraska where she graduated from high school. After completing her normal training at Bonaparte High School, she taught country school. She was employed for 23 years at the Bonaparte Glove Factory and also served as Bonaparte City Clerk for a number of years. She owned and operated Lowe's Decorating Service and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Keosauqua. She is survived by two sons, Larry of Marshalltown and Richard of Keosauqua; one daughter, Karen Duncan of Mount Pleasant; one brother, John of West Burlington; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, at the United Methodist Church, Keosauqua, with Reverend ellis andrews officiating. Burial of cremains was in Bonaparte Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or to the Bonaparte Cemetery Association. Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of arrangements.
