Description	:	Mary M. Bennett, daughter of David and Mahala Bennett, was born near Ashland, Ohio on Oct 25, 1861. Early in life she was converted and united with the Methodist Church. She was united in marriage on Jan. 15, 1880, to John August Goeldner of Keota, Iowa. To this union seven children were born: Minnie Mahala, Caroline Mae, Edward Randolph, Laura Belle, Nelle Alta, Elmer Martin and Albert Leslie. They began housekeeping on his farm in Washington, Iowa, residing there 8 years. They moved to a farm in Adams County where they remained 21 years.... Read More	Mary M. To this union seven children were born: Minnie Mahala, Caroline Mae, Edward Randolph, Laura Belle, Nelle Alta, Elmer Martin and Albert Leslie. They began housekeeping on his farm in Washington, Iowa, residing there 8 years. They moved to a farm in Adams County where they remained 21 years. Then in 1909 they came to Ringgold Co. living on their farm just south of Tingley. They lived there until the time of Mr. Goldner's death. After that Mary made her home with her children. She was of a disposition loved by all who knew her. She was an active member in church as long as she was able. The last few years she was in failing health. She reached age 84 yrs, 8 mo. and 25 days before her death. Her husband, John A., preceded her in death on March 6, 1918. Two children, Edward R. Goldner and C. Mae Buxton also preceded her in death. Five children, Mrs. Minnie Bowers of Creston, Mrs. Laura Robinson of Archie, Mo., Mrs. Nellie Morrison of Redding, Elmer M. Goldner of Kellerton, and Albert L. Goldner of Mt. Ayr., survived her. Besides her children she left to mourn her death: 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wadell of Audubon and Mrs. Bessie Bauer of What Cheer, Iowa, and a host of other relatives and friends. Burial was in Tingley Cemetery.
