Clarence Hansen, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church at Bloomfield, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton. Pallbearers were Fulton Olson, Alfred Schlote, Thomas Colwell, Walter Tschirren, Gordon Printz and Lester Fitch. Mary Mathilda Kehne, daughter of Fred and Margaret Kehne, was born Feb. 14, 1887 at Plattsmouth. On March 3, 1909 she was united in marriage there to Gustav Heidemann. In 1911 they moved to Knox County, farming east of Creighton until 1914 when they moved to the Niobrara vicinity. Three children were born to them. They continued to farm until about 1940 when they moved into Niobrara, where Mr. Heidemann had become established in the blacksmithing business. Mrs. Heidemann was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Plattsmouth and she became, with her husband, one of the three charter members of the Niobrara Lutheran Church when it was formally organized in 1948. She was active as long as possible in the Ladies Aid and was a life member of the women's Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Happy Homemakers Club of Niobrara. Last November she suffered a severe heart attack and was hospitalized for a month at Creighton, before being transferred to the Creighton Care Centre. At that time Mr. Heidemann moved into Bruce Park Terrace at Creighton to be near his wife. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Mrs. A.P. (Louise) Schidlmiller of Philllipsburg, Kan.; sons, Albert of Fremont and Willard of Omaha; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one brother, Willie Henry Kehne of Omaha; one sister, Louise Margaret Buevhler of Plattsmouth. Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, August, Phillip and Henry.
