Description	:	MRS. MARY MAUDE BAILEY * Mrs. Mary Maude Bailey, widow of George A. Bailey, a former Warden of Hastings County, died suddenly on Sunday afternoon at her home at Harold, 8th. concession of Rawdon Township. The late Mrs. Bailey was in her 69th year and was born in Hungerford Township, near Tweed, her parents being the late Andrew Kirk and his Wife, the late Isabella Blakely. Read More	MRS. MARY MAUDE BAILEY * Mrs. Mary Maude Bailey, widow of George A. Bailey, a former Warden of Hastings County, died suddenly on Sunday afternoon at her home at Harold, 8th. concession of Rawdon Township. The late Mrs. Bailey was in her 69th year and was born in Hungerford Township, near Tweed, her parents being the late Andrew Kirk and his Wife, the late Isabella Blakely. For the past forty-live years she resided at Harold, and was highly esteemed in the district: the many fine traits of character which she possessed, won for her many friends, to whom her sudden death has brought much regret. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Springbrook United Church and took an active part in the work of the congregation, being a Past President of the Women's Association. Fraternally she was a Past Noble Grand of Laurel Rebekah Lodge, No. 211, Stirling. Surviving her are five sons: William K. Bailey, Toronto; Clarence A. Bailey, Smiths Falls; Gordon G. Bailey, residing on the homestead; Lorne W, Bailey, Harold, and Ross C Bailey, treasurer for the County of Hastings, Belleville; two daughters, Miss Evelyn I. Bailey, Peterboro; three sisters, Mrs. E. G. Bailey, Stirling; Mrs. Edmund Carleton, Latta, and Mrs. Edna VanAllen, of Peterborough: one brother, Mr. Herbert Kirk, Toronto; also nine grandchildren. The funeral was held from her late residence on Tuesday Jan. 17th, proceeding to Springbrook United Church where service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Beare. Interment took place in Mount Nebo cemetery.
