Description	:	Mrs. Mary Meehan McGowan, 93, widow of the late Patrick McGowan of York, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Villa, David City, where she has made her home the past two years. Mrs. McGowan was born at Wakefield, England, Nov. 3, 1856. She came to America with her parents in 1880. They settled in the vicinity of York. She was married to Mr. McGowan in 1884. Read More	Mrs. Mary Meehan McGowan, 93, widow of the late Patrick McGowan of York, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Villa, David City, where she has made her home the past two years. Mrs. McGowan was born at Wakefield, England, Nov. 3, 1856. She came to America with her parents in 1880. They settled in the vicinity of York. She was married to Mr. McGowan in 1884. She resided at 109 Iowa Ave., York for 52 years. Mr. McGowan died in January 1933. After that she made her home with her children, until two years ago when she went to the Villa at David City. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Keefe, Ord; Mrs. Agnes O'Donnell, Omaha; Mrs. Kathryn Busk, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, James, Los Angeles, and Patrick, York. A son, John died in 1949. Twenty grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rt. Rev. Msgr. L. L. Mandeville officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the Pat McGowan residence, 810 East 7th St.
