She was born December 27, 1922 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to the late Grady and Ruel Pennington Croy. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Gum Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Elton E. Thaxton and two brothers, Glen Croy and Linzy Croy. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 21, at 2:00 p. m. at New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle with the Rev. John Sweigert officiating. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.
